“ Always a great experience here! We love sitting in the bar area. Bartender Blake is super funny and makes the best drinks!!! Always enjoy the "Dad jokes of the day." We always look forward to our Wednesday/Thursday nights at the Brig. ”
“ I've been to multiple different locations of the Brigantine and they all have their ups and downs. This one is my favorite. Service wasn't rushed. Food was awesome from the crab cake for an appetizer, the bread for starter and our entrees were delicious. The main seller for me was the setting and the ambiance. It was busy but quiet. Pretty cool styling. Will be back soon. ”
“ Love this restaurant... super friendly staff, amazing food and drinks. Has high-end look, feel, and quality... but at very affordable prices (for what you get). Ive been to the one in Del Mar and here, this one has a cozier vibe. Love the nautical theme. ”
“ Food is always good actually delicious. Service was excellent. Ambience is warm by the fireplace on a very chilly day. ”
“ Go here all the time. Love the crab n shrimp fondue appetizer. The taco Tuesday is money. Service is good, the setup is clean. Great easy place to stop by and enjoy a hour or two. ”
“ Had lunch here the other day with a friend and had a really enjoyable time. We sat in the bar at the fire pit table (highly recommended if you run cold like I do!) and ordered lunch and drinks. I got the cheeseburger which was very good (and cooked exactly to my order!) and had the cheesecake for dessert. All of your food was amazing, as you'd come to expect from Brigantine. My favorite part was the service. Our server was so friendly! My lunch buddy asked for recommendations and she delivered! He loved everything she recommended. I'm sure I'll see ya again, Brigantine! ”
“ There's a reason that this place has been in business for 40+ years.... it's consistently good. I was looking for an upscale place in East County and this is the first place that comes to mind. It offers a full selection of traditional entrees that will please anyone. I had a small group- we sat out on the patio enjoying light cocktails, and small apps. Our server was very attentive and kept checking with us as we waited for another person to join us. I had the shrimp scampi- it was fresh and perfectly portioned. My family ordered salads, clam chowder, burgers and more. I appreciated that each dish was slightly elevated from the standard fare found in most casual restaurants. The vibe is relaxed and elegant. You don't have to dress up and there's no pretension in the air. Its easy to find something for everyone and to feel at ease. ”
“ The brig is our go to spot for girls night; it's a perfect mix of deliciously casual but just upscale and fancy enough! We love the ambiance, the great wine list, and the appetizers!! The crab fondue is a MUST. The shrimp cocktail is always fresh and flavorful, and the Brussel sprouts are delectable with the pork belly. One appetizer that let us down alittle was the crab cake; lots of flavor hit alittle dry. Would try again tho! Always receive great service, we haven't had a problem walking in, but a reservation for a party over 4 would probably be a good idea! ”
“ We brought our cousin who was visiting from out of state here. Table for 5. My sister made reservations through open table. Cousin loves white wine so we figured that this place would fulfill her preference. We were correct. The table chose a bottle of Echo Bay New Zealand and they loved it. I had a virgin Mojito as someone has to be responsible. We started with an appetizer and chose the CRISPY BRUSSELS SPROUTS -Pork belly, Spanish chorizo, blue cheese & salted caramel. This was a great choice and delicious with the blue cheese elevating the flavor of the brussel sprouts and pairing nicely with the pork belly. BRIG CHOWDER SOUP It was comforting and I enjoyed it as it was not too salty. CRAB & SHRIMP COBB SALAD -Shrimp & sweet red crab, sliced avocado, diced egg, tomato, bacon, blue cheese & mixed lettuce tossed in avocado-lime vinaigrette Three of us chose the Cobb Salad. It was impressive! I love how there was plenty of juicy shrimp and crab in every bite! SEARED ALASKAN HALIBUT - Spanish chorizo, caramelized onion, wilted chard, cherry tomatoes, & fingerling potatoes with Romesco sauce The halibut was flavorful. Special of the day Sea Bass w risotto and asparagus This special was really good too. I enjoyed the Sea Bass. For this visit and experience, the food was on point. There was a lot of food left over as it was plentiful. ”
